Growing Up in Hawaii Carissa Moore was born on a summer day in 1992. Growing up in one of the world’s best surfing locations, she had easy access to world-class waves. Her father, Chris Moore, introduced her to surfing at just a few years old. Together they spent many mornings at the beach. These early experiences helped build her confidence.
